a beautiful Sunday!

So some of the girls and I went to a lovely cupcake course today held by Kate Jordan from Cupkates.

It was an amazing experience, with tutorials on making fondant toppers, perfect butter cream and then some piping techniques.

We started off with all the necessary tools for a fun day of activities.

We then made all of our fondant toppers, starting with the 2d, moving up to the 3d!

I love the little snowman, I think he is to die for!!

We then had to try quite a few different piping techniques, was concentrating then so I forgot to take photos!

Here is the finished products though!

This is the Rose technique

This one was meant to be frilly, but I seemed to only get the hang of it towards the end!

This one is similar to an ice cream swirl!

This one is just basic round swirl underneath.

Here's one of Ronelle and I with our beautiful apron's we made especially for the event!!

So I ate one this afternoon, it was to DIE for!!
I gave Lily the snowman to have a little nibble on, she licked it for a bit, and then wanted some butter cream!

You can find out more about classes or booking in an order at Cupkates Facebook Page!
